Andrean High Policy

We believe the uniform policy to be an important aspect of the Andrean mission and ask our to adhere to these policies. We will treat uniform infractions with disciplinary consequences as outlined in the Handbook. Students may be placed probationary status limiting them from their activities for excessive uniform infractions. All families need to purchase from Dennis Uniforms located in Highland, IN, or from the Dennis website at www.dennisuniform.com. The uniform has not changed; however, there have been modifications to the uniform policy. All uniforms and must be neat in appearance without visible tears or holes. Fall & Spring Uniform (August - October and April - End of the School Year) Winter Uniform (November 1-March 31) Boys Fall/Spring Uniform: ● Dennis khaki pants with Andrean Logo worn at the with a ● Dennis khaki with Andrean Logo must be loose fitted; worn no more than 2 inches above the knees and may not be rolled ● Belt (black, brown, or maroon) is required with shorts and pants ● Dennis white or red short-sleeve polo with Andrean Crest ● Uniform must be tucked into uniform pants or shorts ● must be white in all uniform options ● Student ID must be worn with appropriate lanyard at all times ● may be white, navy, brown, black, gray o Socks must be of solid color o must be ankle or calf o Socks should not contain a logo or design ● Shoes worn with shorts may be athletic or casual and primarily of one color o Acceptable colors include: white and black ● Shoes worn with pants must be a black, brown, tan, or maroon o Sperry(like) boat style shoes may be worn o , ked-like, or tennis shoes may not be worn with dress pants Unacceptable shoes include: Toms, , , moccasins, slides, , flip flops and high tops.

**Boys Winter/Mass/Special Occasion Uniform ● Dennis khaki pants with Andrean Logo worn at the waist with a belt ● **Long Sleeve Blue or White Oxford with Andrean Logo

Optional: ● Dennis red vest or V-neck with Andrean Crest, oxford and tie must be worn under this ● Dennis gray, quarter zip pullover with Andrean Crest, oxford and tie must be worn under this

Girls Fall/Spring Uniform: ● Dennis plaid worn no more than two inches above the knee and not rolled ● Dennis khaki pants with Andrean Logo must be loose fitted and worn with a belt at the waist ● Dennis khaki shorts with Andrean logo must be loose fitted and worn no more than 2 inches above the knee and worn with a belt and may not be rolled ● Belt (black or brown) must be worn with shorts and pants ● Dennis white or red polo with Andrean Crest must be worn tucked into shorts and pants, but may be untucked with skirt. ● Student ID must be worn with appropriate lanyard at all times ● Black, brown, tan, or maroon dress shoes or Sperry(like) shoes ● Tennis Shoes may not be worn with the skirt option ● Socks may be white, navy, gray, black o Socks must be worn below the knee and above the ankle o Socks must be solid in color and without a logo **Girls Winter/Mass/Special Occasion Uniform: ● Dennis plaid skirt no more than two inches above the knee and not rolled ● Dennis khaki pants with Andrean Logo must be loose fit and worn at the waist with belt ● Long sleeve White or Blue Oxford with the Andrean Crest o must be worn tucked into pants and skirt ● Student ID must be worn with appropriate lanyard at all times ● Black, brown, tan, or maroon dress shoes must be worn with skirt o Sperry(like) shoes are acceptable o Keds, ked-like, or tennis shoes are not acceptable o Dress -on shoes should not be above the ankle (booties) ● Girls socks may be white, black, gray, navy of solid color ● Girls may be black, gray, navy of solid color without a pattern o Socks may not be worn over the tights ● Optional: pg. 2 o Dennis red vest or V-neck sweater with Andrean Crest, Andrean uniform must be worn under o Dennis gray, quarter-zip pullover with Andrean Crest, other uniform top must be worn under Unacceptable shoe includes: Toms, and Bobs style shoes, slippers, boots, heels, sandals, slides, flip flops, moccasins, mules and high tops.

Tattoos/Piercings/Hair ● Students may not have visible tattoos, they must be covered with clothing or wrapping ● Girls may only wear up to two ear piercings; no other piercings are allowed and must be removed ● Boys may not have piercings, they must be removed ● Nose rings are not allowed (including nose plugs), they must be removed ● Boys’ hair should be neatly trimmed; hair must be worn above the eye brow, ear, and collar line. Boys are not allowed to wear hair in any that contradicts this norm (pony tail, bun, band, etc.) ● Hair dye (red, pink, blue, green, etc.) is not allowed ● Shaved or etched designs are not allowed in hairstyle ● Mohawks are not allowed ● Boys may not have facial hair; they may be asked to shave in the Medical Room if they come to school unshaven.

Head coverings: ● Students are not allowed to wear or that cover the head ● may be worn on top of the head no more than two inches wide o If headbands are worn, they should be of a solid color without a logo ● Students who need to wear head coverings for religious purposes should discuss the matter with administration prior to doing so. Dress Down Days (Administration Approval) ● Clothes must be neat in appearance ● References made to alcohol, profanity or illegal substances may not be on clothing ● should be free of holes, rips and tears ● Jeans should be loose fitting and worn at the waist ● , Jeggings, , and Pajama Pants are not allowed ● Sandals, slides and slippers may not be worn ● Tank, strapless and spaghetti tops may not be worn ● Hats or head covering may not be worn ● Shorts should be modest and no shorter than mid-length of the thigh (including ) pg. 3 ** Some of these policies may be modified during the school year based on requests of Student Government and/or Senior Class Officers through known institutional practices with the approval of Administration.
