Dress Code for Students in through Grade 8

The following describes the school for students in kindergarten – grade 8:

BOYS: Navy blue slacks (no ), solid white, chambray blue or navy blue polo (long or short sleeves) with collar and logo or white oxford with logo (no tie required). Solid navy blue . Kipot – Boys are required to wear kipot. We provide a school kipah on the first day of school. Additional school kipot may be purchased. While Park East Day School kipot are preferable, other kipot are allowed, including Sephardic, hand crocheted, painted, etc. Disposable kipot, however, are not acceptable.

GIRLS: Navy blue or (knee length, no denim). The skirt must be of a fabric that does not “ride up” to inappropriate lengths! White, chambray blue or navy blue polo (long or short sleeves) with collar and logo, or white collared with logo (no sleeveless or sleeves). Solid navy blue sweater. may be white, navy or black. and must be mid-calf or ankle length and navy, black or white only.

KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS: As this is a transition year, girls in kindergarten may wear navy blue slacks in cold weather. Both boys and girls may wear navy blue .

SHOES (all students): No flip flops or backless . Socks, or tights are required. NO BARE FEET.

GYM : Children in grades 1 – 4 must wear gym socks and . Children in grades 5 - 8 are required to wear navy blue shorts (no short shorts, please), white tee with logo, gym socks and sneakers. These may be left in school. Children may not participate in the gym program if not properly attired.
