Parish Clerk

Dear Parish Clerk

Review of Polling Districts, Polling Places & Polling Stations

The council will shortly be undertaking a full review of all polling districts, polling places and polling stations. I have enclosed the notice which will be published on 8 July 2019 announcing the commencement of this review which contains further details.

I am writing to you as you have been identified as a potential stakeholder in the review process, or a representative of a group that might wish to comment on the relevant designations before the council ultimately agrees them.

In undertaking the review the council must seek to ensure that all electors have such reasonable facilities for voting as are practicable in the circumstances, and have regard to the needs of electors who are disabled.

I have enclosed a schedule of the current polling stations arrangements for information. Maps of the current polling district arrangements can be viewed on the council’s website (www.hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk/pollingplacereview).

In addition, we would like to know of any appropriate possible alternative locations for polling stations.

Should you wish to make any comments or observations on any of the existing arrangements and suggest alternative arrangements, please submit them to the Electoral Services Office in writing by post or e-mail by 19 August 2019 to the relevant address shown on the enclosed notice.

Yours sincerely

Mark West Electoral Services Officer
