Boston Opera House first opened in 1928 as the B.F Keith Memorial Theatre. The lavish movie theatre was designed in a combination of French and Italian styles by Thomas White Lamb, one of the foremost theater architects of his day. After a series of ownership changes, Boston Opera House was restored and renovated in late 2004 in order to accommodate the needs of large Broadway touring productions. The 2600 seat theater, features a steady rotation with the Boston Ballet, Broadway shows, and is available for pre- show and private events!

Venue Capacity: 2,600 Theatre
Full Venue Private Event Rental: For full use of 2600 capacity Theatre, Stage, Grand Lobby, Mezzanine, and Lower Lobby there is a $25,000 rental fee. To include use of space for four hours with a two-hour load in and load out period.
Additional hours to be billed at $500 per hour.
Lobby Rentals: For use of Grand Lobby, Lower Lobby, and Mezzanine there is a $12,000 rental fee. To include use of space for four hours with a two-hour load in and load out period. Additional hours to be billed at $500 per hour.
Pre-Show Events Rental: For groups of 10 - 30 guests, semi private spaces are available for pre-show events for a rental fee of $2,000 plus a $500 food and beverage minimum spend. Rental to include use of space for two hours prior to show time, proper event management, door and usher staff. Ticketing, food, beverage and rentals would be additional. Front of House Cost: $6,500 - $25,000 based on event needs. To include required ushers, security, police and fire detail, permitting, proper event management, and
documentation.
Event Production Cost: Boston Opera House is a union house, pricing to vary based on event needs.
Catering: Boston Opera House Concessionaire has a full liquor license. Please contact Sales Manager for additional information on pricing and menu options. In the event additional catering is needed, a list of preferred caterers will be provided.
Parking: Boston Opera House does not have dedicated parking, for information on local garages please contact your Sales Manager.
Coat Check: $150 per attendant, $2 per checked item.
Entertainment: All entertainment to be booked through Live Nation or Brattle VENUE INFOMRATION Entertainment.
Ticketing: Events must be closed to the general public and cannot be publicly advertised. All ticketing to be sold and managed through Ticketmaster.
Contract: Fully executed signed contract, certificate of insurance and 50% deposit due up signing, in order to secure venue.
Theatre
The historic and newly renovated Opera House will leave your guests in awe. With a 2600 seat theatre, it’s a perfect venue for a large conference, receptions, and social occasions. The stage of the Opera House is also available for a memorable (Theatre Stage: 200 Seated, 400 standing; Entire Theatre: 2,600 Seated)
Grand Lobby
Our Grand Lobby will be sure to captivate your guests! Adorned with stunning crystal chandeliers, the Grand Lobby provides a distinctive space for a wedding ceremony, luncheon, or large cocktail reception. (140 seated theatre style, 60 seated in rounds, 150 Standing)
DESCRIPTIONS Mezzanine Promenade
Set on the second level of The Opera House, the Mezzanine Promenade is decorated with lush carpets, a gold accent ceiling, and its original chandeliers. Overlooking the Grand Lobby, it’s the perfect area for any occasion! (100 Seated, 200 Standing)
The Lower Lobby
Our Lower Lobby provides a semi- private area to entertain your guests. Prefect for a pre or post-show reception, or a private gathering during intermission, this room can accommodate both seated events and cocktail receptions. (60 Seated, 150 Standing)
