How to get to UNSSC Knowledge Centre from Bonn City Centre

From the to Bonn Central Station ( (Hbf))

- From (Köln)/Bonn (www.koeln-bonn-airport.de/en/parking- arrival/bus-rail-services.html: The Airport Express SB 60 bus from Terminal 1 takes you directly to Bonn Central Station (Bonn Hauptbahnhof or Bonn Hbf). The bus leaves the airport every 30 minutes on weekdays and every 30 or 60 minutes on Saturday and Sunday. The approximate duration of the trip is 30 minutes. A one-way ticket costs approximately 8 Euros, which can be purchased from the driver.

- From Düsseldorf Airport (www.dus.com/en/arrival-and-departure): Take the sky train to the train station inside the airport (about 5 minutes). From there, take one of the trains to reach Bonn Central Station (Bonn Hauptbahnhof or Bonn Hbf). There are a few direct trains and for some you have to change in the Düsseldorf main station. The schedule of the (German Railway) is available at http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en. The approximate duration of the trip is 1 to 1.5 hours. A second-class, one-way train ticket costs around 15-20 Euros.

- From Airport (www.frankfurt-airport.com/en/flights--- more/flights.html#arrivalanddepature/tab=arrivalanddepature_arrivaldep arture): Follow the signs to the long distance trains inside the airport. Take the high-speed train ICE to /Bonn station. It runs two-three times every hour and takes approximately 40 minutes. From Siegburg/Bonn, take Tramline 66 and get off at the Bonn Central Station (it only goes in the direction of Bonn).

Alternatively, there are also a few direct trains from to Bonn Central Station, which will take about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The ticket prices for these trains depend on the time and type (flexible/non flexible) of booking.

How to get to the UNSSC Knowledge Centre (course venue)

By bus line 611 or 610 from Bonn Central Station or Bonn Bad Godesberg Bf/Rheinallee

From Bonn Central Station - Bus 611: Take the bus 611 in the direction of ‘Heiderhof’ from bus stop C4 at the Hauptbahnhof/Central Train Station. Get off at ‘Kanalstrasse’ bus stop (approx. 20 minutes) and walk for about 100 metres in the opposite direction of the bus (along the hedge) on Martin-Luther-King-Strasse, and look for the entrance on your right marked 'United Nations'.

- Bus 610: Take the bus 610 in the direction of ‘Hochkreuz’ or ‘Heiderhof Pappelweg’ from bus stop C4 at the Hauptbahnhof/Central Train Station and get off at ‘Kennedyallee’ bus stop (approx. 15 minutes). Walk down Kennedyallee (in the direction of the ) until you reach the 'T' intersection between Kennedyallee and Martin-Luther-King-Strasse. Turn left and continue walking for about 50 meters. Look for the entrance on your right marked 'United Nations'.

From Bonn Bad Godesberg Bf/Rheinallee

- Bus line 611: Take bus 611 in the direction of ‘Lessenich’ and get off at 'Kanalstrasse' stop (approximately 13 minutes). Walk down Martin-Luther-King- Strasse (along the hedge) for about 100 metres and look for the entrance on your right marked 'United Nations'.

- Bus line 610: Take the bus 610 in the direction of ‘Duisdorf Bf’ and get off at ‘Kennedyallee’ stop (approximately 10 minutes). Walk down Kennedyallee (in the direction of the Rhine) until you reach the 'T' intersection between Kennedyallee and Martin-Luther-King-Strasse. Turn left and continue walking for about 50 meters. Look for the entrance on your right marked 'United Nations'.

By public transport from other locations If you are coming from other locations, please plan your route with the route planer of the local public transport company VR online: http://auskunft.vrsinfo.de/vrs/cgi/process/eingabeRoute?lang=UK and choose ‘Kanalstrasse Bonn Plittersdorf’ as your final destination.

By taxi The taxi fare to the UNSSC Knowledge Centre at Haus Carstanjen, Martin-Luther-King- Strasse 8, from most places in Bonn Centre and Bad Godesberg should not exceed 25 Euros. The taxi fare from Cologne/Bonn Airport to Bonn City Centre and UNSSC Knowledge Centre in Bonn varies from 80 to 100 Euros.
