U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announces Global Entry enrollment events in in October and November 2015. The Global Entry program allows expedited immigration and customs clearance into the United States for pre-approved, low-risk travelers.

Special enrollment events will be held October 26-29 at , November 2-3 at U.S. Embassy Berlin, November 5-6 at Dusseldorf Airport, and November 9-11 at Airport. Those who wish to participate in these enrollment events should start the process as soon as possible in order to schedule interviews.

German citizens who want to be accepted into the Global Entry program must follow these four steps

1) Preregister with German (Bundespolizei) at the following locations: (Terminal 1, Hall A, 2); (Terminal 2, Level 4, Room 4479); Airport (Terminal 2, Level 1); Dusseldorf Airport (Central building, departure level); and Berlin Airport (Terminal C). Please bring a valid passport.

2) Apply for Global Entry online at www.globalentry.gov and pay a $100 non-refundable fee

3) After being provisionally approved, select an enrollment location in Germany, date, and time

4) Appear in person for the enrollment.

German citizen Global Entry members will have to reregister for Global Entry with the German Federal Police after their second year of membership.

United States citizens and lawful permanent residents who want to be accepted into the Global Entry program must follow these three steps

1) Apply for Global Entry online at www.globalentry.gov and pay a $100 non-refundable fee

2) After being provisionally approved, select an enrollment location, date, and time

3) Appear in person for the enrollment.

Currently available at 42 U.S. and 12 preclearance locations, Global Entry streamlines the screening process at U.S. ports of entry for trusted travelers. As an added benefit, Global Entry members are also eligible to participate in the TSA Pre✓™ expedited screening.
