ACHIEVEMENTS AS HEAD OF DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE & BUILDING SCIENCE: AUG. 2002 – JULY 2010

Key Achievement • Spearheaded a highly innovative revision of the Architecture Curriculum to introduce an intermediate degree and re- structure the entire curriculum to provide for a wider range of career paths.

• Guidance of the Department to full Accreditation by the Commonwealth Association of Architects

• The orientation of the Department to take full advantage of emergent technologies in the ICT field. The Department is now regarded as a leader in this matter in the of Architecture and Engineering.

• The building of a varied cadre of professionals and academicians into a strong team that has won the confidence of students, the University Administration and the Architectural profession in Kenya.

• Under my leadership, our students have received international recognition through their work entered in varied architectural competitions.
