Day 1 Individual arrivals Arrive in Innsbruck, and collect bikes, route notes and maps.

Day 2 Innsbruck - Imst 65 kms On the Treidel Path, along the River Inn, cycle through small villages to with with its Cisterian convent. Continue onto Imst fvia Haiming or a walk around town and see the “Merano of north ” with its scores of fountains and wonderful mountains.

Day 3 Imst - Füssen 55 kms Ride or transfer by bus to Hahntenjoch (2000 m - by bus if required). A wonderful downhill ride to Elmen am Lech follows. The splendid moun- tain landscape, river and the town of Reutte get you into the right mood for a dream journey. The city of Füssen, surrounded by magnifi- cent peaks of the Alps and blue-green mountain lakes invites you for a stroll around its city pedestrian zone. If you have time go for a sightsee- ing tour at “Königsschlösser” (King’s castles).

Day 4 Füssen - Schongau 50 kms Today you visit King Ludwig’s fairy tale castles in Königswinkel - Hohen- and Neuschwanstein. At the valley station of the Tegelberg you see the uncovered Roman thermal springs. The world famous Wi- eskirche (church) - the epitome of Bavarian Rococo - is the next high- light. Through and you experience the highlights of the landscape and arrive in Schongau filled with good impressions.

Day 5 Schongau - Landsberg/Lech 35 kms Schongau, a former Bavarian boarder fortress gives evidence of the past. It has fortified passages on the town wall that can still be ac- cessed today. The splendid view over the Lech Valley promises beauty. Visit Hochenfurch, Epfach (with the Roman Abodiacum and Roman museum) and Vilgertshofen (with a baroque ) on your way back to Landsberg.

Day 6 Landsberg/Lake Amersee 45 kms You enjoy a circular trail cycle today, riding along the western bank of the Lake. You may decide to take the ferry to Herrshing on the other side to visit the famous monastery Andechs or just enjoy a quiet picnic lunch before returning back.

Day 7 Landsberg/Augsburg 45 kms You must see the medieval city centre of Landsberg/Lech, embedded in a romantic riverbed. The historic town hall and the Gothic Bavarian gate are also noteworthy. You will ride through Kaufering am Lech to Königsbrunn, with 11 km of the best preserved part of the Via Claudia. Peddle into the old Bavarian duke city of Friedberg before reaching the Fugger city of Augsburg. Visit the famous Fuggerei, a trading company of the Fugger family and an old part of Augsburg dating back to the year 1516.

How fit do I need to be? The fitter the better, as you will enjoy the holiday more. This is a moderate trip with intermediate options. Keep in mind that like all wine regions, they tend to be hilly.

What are the hotels like? Accommodation is on a Bed & Breakfast basis in hotels of 3 & 4-star standard. All rooms have en suite facilities. Lunches and dinners are not included in the tour cost. However, picnic materials can be readily bought on weekdays in each of the towns and villages we stay at. Packed lunches are available from the hotels if re- quested the evening before. In the towns there are numerous inns and cafes along the way, which serve lunches. In towns, there will be many choices for dinner.

How to book your holiday

• Download the reservation form from our site and send in completed form by fax or email. Once this is done, your space is confirmed and a pre-departure packet will be sent.
