Structural (Bridge) Project Engineer or Engineering Intern II

GUY Engineering is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Project Engineer or Engineer Intern II prepared to take the PE exam within 6 months with 5 years of AASHTO bridge design or related experience who is ready to take on project management and client management responsibilities. The position is located in our Tulsa, OK office. Experience with ODOT design standards and current state of practice such as accelerated bridge construction and prefabricated bridge elements are preferred. The successful candidate will manage projects and design simple and complex bridges (primarily of steel, concrete and precast/pre-stress construction) and a variety of traansportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures and other miscellaneous structures) using applicable software. Bridge design work encompasses new and replacement bridges, bridge widening, and bridge rehabilitation. The candidate will be responsible for aand complette all phases of structural project development including managing, planning, scheduling, inspection, analysis, design, development of contract plans, cost estimates, and technical specifications and reports. The candidate must be able to work successfully within a team of structural engineers and drafters, as well as coordinate with other project disciplines, working cloosely with cliients to meet their objectives

This positions REQUIRES that you have a minimum off a bachelor'' degree from an accredited university and have successfully PASSED the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

Job Requirements:

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering from a college or university in accordance with ABET/EAC standards and registration in good standing as a professional engineer with civil or structural designation at the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. • Minimum of 4 years engineering experience required in the design annd/or construction of transportation projects with emphasis on structures. • Proficient understanding of AutoCad. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent communication skills (written and oral). • Must be able to work independently and contribute to the overall team. • Excellent interpersonal skills a must. • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet established deadlines. • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environment.
