Annual Report of the School For session 2020-21 ______Podar International School, Akola has started session 2020-21on 2 April 2020 as per the planning. Classes started online with the help of google meet.

Following training and arrangements made for the staff members: ● All teachers were trained by the IT Team to conduct online classes. ● Google meet app and zoom app were explained thoroughly. ● Online Micro teaching sessions were conducted for all teachers. ● Usage of various digital tools were explained to them and various workshops were arranged on different digi tools such as:- padlet, kahoot, wordwall, jamboard, OLAB, google form, google sheets, google slides, google documents etc. ● Properly organized virtual classes were conducted throughout the year and teachers trained themselves for conducting all the academic activities. Students were felicitated for their outstanding performance in various Exams and Activities such as:- ● Olympiad Exam ● Homibhabha Exam ● NTSE ● MTS Exam ● Other outstanding Achievements

CBSE Trainings:- Teachers attended many CBSE training sessions which were organized by different COE’s, Dikshaa app and Nishthaa app. The training hours recommended for the school staff was achieved by the staff members. In-house training hours was also fulfilled religiously. In total:- 957 hours of In-house trainings and 623 hours of CBSE training were completed by the staff members.

Teachers received CBSE email ID and attended NEP training workshop conducted by COE Pune. They also have attended the Quiz based on it and received certificates as well. Google technicalities training was also attended by all the teachers which was conducted in association with CBSE. Artificial intelligence trainings were attended by Heads of the various department.

Communication with parents and Online Exam conduction ● Parent Orientation program was conducted by honorable Principal Ms. Neeta Talreja ● All the PTM were conducted in online mode (once in a month) ● Every individual parent has been alloted 10 minutes for the PTM ● One to one interaction has been done with the parents for better communication. ● Grade X PTM conducted twice in a month ● Monthly Time table were shared with the students ● Assembly and activity planner were shared with the parents on a weekly basis. ● All exams were conducted through the online Eklavya platform on Between Us App. ● Many Online training sessions were conducted by Head Office such as Singing workshop by the great musician Ajit Wadekar, Chess training by GM Abhijit Kunthe etc. ● Various class tests were conducted through google forms for better understanding. ● Remedial classes were conducted for the students who required extra support and guidance. ● Innovation lab and Science lab were used to demonstrate the concepts practically.

Overall review:-

Looking at the pandemic situation management helped parents in rolling back the fee hike and offered a 10% fee concession to every student. Though the session was tough in many areas, especially in the collection of fees, which was worsened due to ambiguous directions and decisions of the education department. We were able to cope up with the situation because of genuine and timely support of the Management.

Overall the Session 2020-21 was challenging for everyone including parents, teachers, administration department and the management too. But many new technologies have been introduced by the management for timely implementation and support. All teachers were well equipped with the Digital tools and technology usage. Many new innovations have been introduced in the teaching and learning process. Even the students understand many new concepts and methods of teaching and learning.
