Queens View, Scunthorpe Community Supported Living Service

Working in partnership with Care Housing Association, Eden Futures is in the process of bringing to the sector two enhanced specialist bungalows, each containing 4 self contained, fully accessible, ground floor supported living apartments in Scunthorpe each with access to shared communal areas.

The service is primarily to provide a step-down from Mental Health Hospitals for both mental health and learning disability service users. The high level, bespoke specifications will mean that support can be provided Accommodation for service users with more complex and challenging behaviours.

Each specialist bungalow will contain 4 self contained apartments, each with its own front door, one bedroom, bathroom/wet room, an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner and direct access to the communal garden.

A furniture pack will be provided, including a single divan bed, wardrobe, bedside table, two seater sofa, dining table and two chairs. A staff hub has been identified in each specialist bungalow, this will enable us to provide 24/7 support that includes a waking-night as an integral part of the service. A pit and pager system will be included in both specialist bungalows as well as a concierge control and access system. Assisitive technologies can also be made available if necessary.

Car parking is available on site.

Location

The new service is situated in Scunthorpe, North , 25 miles from Hull and and 28 miles from Lincoln.

The new service is located in a quiet residential area with no through traffic.

Scunthorpe the 'Industrial Garden Town' has a lot to offer in terms of amenities and recreational activities. The town has a main high street that includes many of the well known retailers, multiple large supermarkets as well as independent shops, a museum, galleries, craft centres, a cinema and a theatre.

Train links run from Manchester Airport to and various bus companies run both inside and outside the town.
