One of the points of difference between the bearings of the Royal and Parliamentary Burghs on the one hand and those of the I Police Burghs on the other lies in the fact that the former carry castles and ships to an extent which becomes almost monotonous, while among the latter these bearings are rare. On the other hand, the Police Burghs very frequently assume a charge of which A 079 2 Aberchirder. examples, in the blazonry of the Royal and Parliamentary Burghs, are very rare : this is the cross, derived apparently from the fact that their market-crosses are the most prominent of their ancient monuments. • The Cairngorm Club Journal 111, 2015
246 The Mar Estate Editor's note: Graham Ewen, the late Honorary President of the Club, has written 9 articles for the Journal on the history of the Mar Estate. This is the final one, on the Corriemulzie Estate. After he started to write this article he became ill and died, but his long-time collaborator on the research of the Duff House Papers, Eddie Martin, has undertaken the task of completing the article. Corriemulzie Eddie Martin and Graham Ewen The precise boundaries of the Corriemulzie Estate are difficult to identify beyond the fact that they were located on the road from Braemar to Inverey, bounded by Auchendryne Estate to the east and Inverey Estate to the west. In a Charter dated 28 September 1632, granted by John, Earl of Mar to an Alister Mackenzie, it is described as the town and lands of Corriemulzie, with the pendicle called Wester Arderg extending to four oxgates, the town and lands of Craggan extending to two oxgates and the shielings of Reflinchwood, Inveraltlat and Corronraw which were probably on the east side of Glen Ey. An oxgate varies in area and averages about 13 acres. The southern march was probably the ridge of Creag an Fhithich or, using the archaic phrase for a ridge, 'where wind and weather shears'. The northern march of the Estate is even more difficult to define as Craggan is on the north side of the river Dee and one would have expected the river itself to be the natural boundary, (Fig. 1). After much litigation between Farquharson of Inverey, who now owned Corriemulzie, and the Earl of Fife, who now owned the Mackenzie of Dalmore Estate, Craggan was ceded to Thethe Earl followin Cairngormg an exchange of grazing right Clubs and the river became the northern march.

  • Union Depot Tower Interlocking Plant
Union Depot Tower Union Depot Tower (U.D. Tower) was completed in 1914 as part of a municipal project to improve rail transportation through Joliet, which included track elevation of all four railroad lines that went through downtown Joliet and the construction of a new passenger station to consolidate the four existing passenger stations into one. A result of this overall project was the above-grade intersection of 4 north-south lines with 4 east-west lines. The crossing of these rail lines required sixteen track diamonds. A diamond is a fixed intersection between two tracks. The purpose of UD Tower was to ensure and coordinate the safe and timely movement of trains through this critical intersection of east-west and north-south rail travel. UD Tower housed the mechanisms for controlling the various rail switches at the intersection, also known as an interlocking plant. Interlocking Plant Interlocking plants consisted of the signaling appliances and tracks at the intersections of major rail lines that required a method of control to prevent collisions and provide for the efficient movement of trains. Most interlocking plants had elevated structures that housed mechanisms for controlling the various rail switches at the intersection. Union Depot Tower is such an elevated structure. Source: Museum of the American Railroad Frisco Texas CSX Train 1513 moves east through the interlocking. July 25, 1997. Photo courtesy of Tim Frey Ownership of Union Depot Tower Upon the completion of Union Depot Tower in 1914, U.D. Tower was owned and operated by the four rail companies with lines that came through downtown Joliet.

PAUL BURRELL Over the course of 21 years, Paul Burrell rose from member of the Royal household staff to personal attendant to the Queen of England and then butler to the Prince and Princess of Wales. Ultimately, he became the trusted personal assistant and confidante to the late Diana, Princess of Wales. In 2003, he published his autobiography, A Royal Duty, which included his personal account of his Royal service and his close friendship with the late princess, who was arguably one of the world’s most popular and beloved public figures. This book was a London and New York Times number 1 best seller and sold in excess of 3 million copies worldwide. His next book, The Way We Were – Remembering Diana, was also a best seller throughout the world. In 21 years of service to the British Royal family, Paul Burrell worked closely in and around some of the most beautiful homes and palaces in England. In actuality, his travels included far more than Great Britain and Europe, as his years of service gave him first‐hand experience of the most interesting houses in virtually every corner of the world. His exposure to fine homes, priceless art collections and furnishings has provided Burrell with all manner of expertise and he has become a taste arbiter and expert in food, wines, furnishings, flower arranging, etiquette and entertaining, especially in the English style. “During my 21 years of service to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, I have been fortunate to witness the ultimate in stylish and elegant entertaining, from private and intimate family occasions at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace and the Royal Yacht Britannia to grand and lavish State Banquets for presidents, kings and queens.

  • The Global Economic Reset Marks the Beginning of the Great
The Global Economic Reset Marks The Beginning of The Great Tribulation Globalists Reveal That the “Great Economic Reset” Is Coming In 2021 But It Is More Insidious Than That! Part 5 World Economic Forum: The Institution Behind "The Great Reset" Who Front for the House of Rothschild In a recent article Steven Guinness, writing at Zero Hedge briefly examined a number of advances that global planners made prior to the World Economic Forum’s announcement in June of a new initiative dubbed ‘The Great Reset‘. Taken together, the United Nation’s Agenda 2030, the Paris Climate Agreement, the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Bank for International Settlement’s ‘Innovation BIS 2025‘ offer an insight into how elites want to turn the lives of every man, woman and child inside out over the course of the next decade. Details of ‘The Great Reset‘ came as nations began to reopen their economies following a global lockdown. The extent to which Covid-19 has dominated every facet of existence – largely because of unrepentant media coverage – has encouraged people to focus exclusively on what life will be like after the virus. For many, what came before now seems inconsequential. It is anything but. It is the New World Order on Steroids! For example, three months before Covid-19 took hold, a global pandemic exercise – ‘Event 201‘ – was held in New York City which simulated the outbreak of a coronavirus that originated in Brazil. The scenario focused on a novel zoonotic virus that ‘transmitted from bats to pigs to people that eventually becomes efficiently transmissible from person to person, leading to a severe pandemic.’ Whilst initially some countries managed to control the outbreak, it ended up spreading and ‘eventually no country can maintain control‘.
