Prosperity

“When you are able to shift your inner awareness to how you can serve others, and when you make this the central focus of your life, you will then be in a position to know true miracles in your progress toward prosperity.” Wayne W. Dyer

I remember a time years ago when I was a struggling singer/ in San Francisco trying to make my rent each month and not feeling very abundant. I had subscribed to a music magazine where you had a choice to renew your subscription with the regular price or the “starving artist” price. I started to check the “starving artist” box which would have been half the subscription price – when it hit me. If I kept seeing myself as an artist that was “starving” and not making it, I would be affirming that by checking the box. In that moment I had my first glimpse of what abundance is: feeling and seeing yourself as that which you know you are. So I checked the regualr subscription price – and lo and behold, pretty soon gigs starting coming in and my life turned around for the better.

One small action, but a change of consciousness…that is what this CD is all about. I have compliled some of the songs that I have written and recorded that have to do with all aspects of abundance: having money, having faith, trusting, giving, receiving...and being grateful. I am hoping that this CD will be used for anyone working through issues around financial fredom and teachers who have workshops on these subjects.

As with all my other chanting CDs (the Songs of the Spirit Series: 1, 2, 3, and 4), and my song CDs, I invite you to sing along, make up harmonies and movements, and even change the words – anything that allows you to make these chants and the affirmations your own.

I have listed which CD each chant or song came from so you can go to my website “www.karendrucker.com” to get the lyrics. While you’re there, check out the other CDs, songbooks, lyrics, movements, and instrumental “tracks” for singers that I offer.

I hope that this music allows your heart to sing and aids you in feeling abundant, prosperous, inspired and empowered.

Blessings!

Receiving Chant

Words: Karen Drucker Music: Karen Drucker & John Hoy

I do believe, I will receive

I just have to know and then declare it to be so

With an open mind, and just a little bit of time

If it serves my highest good, then it will be mine / it is mine

Anything I want, it is mine. Perfect health, it is mine.

Joy and peace, it is mine. Love love love, it is mine.

If it serves my highest good, it is mine.

If it serves my highest good, it is mine. My Money Is Like A Bunny

Words: Karen Drucker Music: Karen Drucker & John Hoy “Bunny” concept inspired by Bodi Setchko

Ah, the recession. I have been consciously working on my attitude to keep it positive, while everyone in the media keeps talking about the gloom and doom of the economy. We all know the expression, “Whatever you focus on grows,” so I decided I needed a fun little chant to keep up my attitude during these challenging times. I had sung at a church where the theme of the day was prosperity. The music director, Bodhi Setchko, had made a comment that we needed to “be like a bunny with your money.” That cute visual gave me the inspiration to write this chant.

They say, “You can’t take it with you when you go.” No!

So I’m gonna just enjoy myself and go with the flow.

Chorus: My money is like a bunny it goes forth and multiplies.

I send it out and let it go and it comes back to me in time.

My joy is overflowing, and I know God is my source.

My money is like a bunny it goes forth and multiplies.

“Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” Abraham Lincoln

Happy, Healthy, Wealthy And Wise

Words & Music: John Hoy

I am happy, healthy, wealthy, and wise. Happy, healthy, wealthy and wise, And I know the light, the light of love is shining in my eyes. I am happy, healthy, wealthy and wise.

A little birdie told me that life is so sweet. As I listen to her song, I know I am complete. I have all the keys to love, joy and peace. The power is infinite and love will increase.

I am happy, healthy, wealthy and wise. Happy, healthy, wealthy, and wise, And I know the light, the light of love is shining in my eyes. I am happy, healthy, wealthy, and wise.

“In ordinary life we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer “For it is in giving that we receive.” St. Francis of Assisi

This is a truth that I work with as a spiritual practice all the time. I have found that when I am looking to “get” something, the real truth is that if I come from a place of giving first the end result feels so much different than just looking to “get.” This is the true foundation of what tithing is all about. There are so many statistics of how people who regularly tithe their money or time wind up receiving more of what they are giving away. I look at it like a circle – that I have to first ‘be’ that which I want to become and freely give it, before it will come back to me. If you want more love, give love. If you want more joy, give joy. If you want more peace, give peace. If you want more, give. If you want more, give.

If you want more money, give your money. If you want more time, give of your time. If you want more friends, be a friend. If you want more, give. If you want more, give.

Chorus: When you give you receive it’s as simple as that. There’s no effort, no struggle, it’s just a simple fact.

If you want to see a change, be the change. If you want to have more truth, tell your truth. If you want more gratitude, give thanks. If you want more, give. If you want more, give.

*Chorus*

If you want more love, give love. If you want more joy, give joy. If you want more peace, give peace. If you want more, give. If you want more, give.

Whatcha wanna do, whatcha whatcha wanna see Whatcha wanna do, whatcha whatcha wanna be Whatcha wanna do, whatcha whatcha wanna see Watcha gonna do right now? Inspired by Brene Brown !!! !!!!I’m Worthy

!!!!words: Karen Drucker music: Karen Drucker & John Hoy !!!!!!!!! In all of the women’s retreats that I facilitate, the idea of worthiness comes up for so many people. Whether its the media, society, parents, our inner critic -whoever - telling us we are not good enough or worthy, that feeling can be the belief that runs our lives. This song is an affirmation that I use when that voice comes up to tell me I am not enough. I can say; “NO! I AM worthy!

Intro: !! People try to tell me who I’m supposed to be. !!But now I know the truth, and that truth has set me free.

The media tries to tell me each and every day, how to look, how to act, what to feel, and what to say. But I have the secret I’ve known since birth: I say “I’m whole and I’m complete and I know what I’m worth”.

They can tell me I’m lazy, tell me I’m fat. I can give them the power but I know better than that. I’m a child of love here on this earth. I’m whole and I’m complete and I know what I’m worth.

Chorus: ! I know what I’m worth, when push comes to shove. !!I know what I’m worth, I am a beacon of love. !!I know what I’m worth, I am an angel of light. !!Shining, shining, shining so bright. I’m worthy. I’m worthy. I’m worthy.

I would compare myself to everyone I’d see. I didn’t know the power in me. But when I need a shot of self-worth I say: “I’m whole and I’m complete and I know what I’m worth.”

I say “No” to anyone who tries to judge me. I say “Yes” to my own divinity. This new way of being feels like rebirth. I’m whole and I’m complete and I know what I’m worth.

!!!Chorus

I know what I’m worth. I know what I’m worth. I know it, know it, know it. (repeat) I know!

Rap: ! Don’t tell me I’m not enough, I’m fabulous and I strut my stuff. ! I claim my power for all to see. I am the woman I was meant to be. I’m worthy!

©TayToones Music 2014 BMI !! ! From Karen’s CD: “With Love Anything Is Possible” I’m So Grateful

Inspired by the Native American poem: “ In Beauty May I Walk” Gratitude concept of this poem inspired by Angeles Arrien Adapted Words: Karen Drucker Music: Karen Drucker

“In ordinary life we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer

This chant is an adaptation of the Native American Indian poem, “In Beauty May I Walk.” I was really moved by this poem, and I later found this adaptation from author Angeles Arrien focusing on the gratitude aspect of the poem. I truly believe that when I start my day in gratitude, my whole day works better. I spend time every morning saying what I am grateful for and end my day in the same way.

In addition to singing chants, I have sometimes found it beneficial to move as I sing. Below, I have included the body movements to this chant, illustrated by Brian Narelle.

Gratitude before me. Gratitude behind me. Gratitude to the left of me. Gratitude to the right of me. Gratitude above me. Gratitude below me. Gratitude within me. Gratitude all around me. I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful ( repeat)

We included “Gratitude Vamp” as a little extra “cookie.” On the day that we recorded the piano track for this song, my fabulous keyboard player; John R Burr kept playing after the song was actually done. We just let him keep going, and he played some amazing improvised parts. When Annie Stocking (back-up arranger and vocalist on all these songs) heard it, she had the idea to put a melody and words to what John R. had played. Add John Hoy (musical arranger of all these songs) to the mix - and with some creativity and editing, this “vamp” was created!

Gratitude Vamp

Words and vocal arrangement: Annie Stocking Music John R. Burr Music arrangement: John Hoy

Hey! Grateful, I am so grateful for all I have. Everyday, grateful. I am so grateful for all I have. Everyday! I accept and I receive. I am so grateful, oh yea!
