Kids for Kids Open Dear Santa, We hope the toys everyone donated for this year’s R-H Kids for Kids Toy Drive helps you get gifts to all the children in Preble County whose families needed a little help House & Toy Drive this Christmas. We had a really good turn out in the weeks leading up to the big day, with nearly 700 total toys and gifts Photos By Eddie Mowen Jr. | The Register-Herald dropped off between Nov. 25 and the end of the day on Fri- day, Dec. 2. I am sure there’s something special for everyone this year! All our thanks go out to those generous donors who helped prior to the open house at Fort St. Clair on Saturday, Dec. 3, including all the friends and family of Brian and Missy Jones who proved once again how extraordinarily caring and thoughtful they all are. We don’t have the names of all our donors, but Santa, we know you know who was extra-nice! Thanks also to the City of Eaton, the Whispering The Workman Family Noah Swihart Christmas Committee for helping you out, and if you see Dean Wigger, tell him he’s a blessing to the program! And please, make sure those ever-prepared Boy Scouts and their families get some extra gifts for being so nice and helping out again this year. The staff at the Greenbriar helped provide awesome treats for the children who visited the Kids for Kids event, and we thank them for providing the special goody bags. All the leftover bags went to the Preble County Christmas for Kids Program to use as stocking stuffers, and we know they were Caden Swihart The Register-Herald staff appreciated! Please enjoy the special letters inside this publication which come directly from students in several area classrooms, and from children who dropped them off to you at the toy drive. Some of the children and families who donated this year are also pictured inside with you.
