1. Event Outline It is now ten years since Keio University and the British Council began co-hosting the annual Experience Japan Exhibition (EJE) in 2011 in London. Over the past nine years, the EJE has attracted over 5,000 students and contributed to increasing the presence of Japan and Japanese universities across the UK and Europe. This year, Keio University is proud to bring the Experience Japan Exhibition Online. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented us from hosting a physical event this year, holding it virtually has allowed more universities, including several MEXT Top Global Universities, to take part as well as opening the event to many more visitors from all over the world. The EJE is free and open to everyone, but registration is required from the following website. Registration commences on November 9, 2020. Event website: https://experience-japan-online.jp/

2. Purpose Universities are places to nurture future leaders who can work and act responsibly with people from different social and cultural backgrounds. In the current climate of polarization and mistrust around the globe, the importance of international education is more apparent than ever before. Studying abroad is one of the most effective ways to expand horizons, and the pandemic should not deprive students of this precious experience. One key message that the EJE hopes to convey is that Japanese universities have been kept open and will continue to welcome international students.

The EJE will showcase a variety of study opportunities at Japanese universities, which offer high quality education online as well as on campus while implementing strict infection prevention measures. Students can encounter life-changing cultural experiences in dynamic cities or in the beautiful countryside, and can enroll in degree and short-term programs taught entirely in English. They can also take advantage of the competitive tuition fees and the various scholarships open to international students. Studying at a Japanese university will be an unforgettable experience and an excellent way to boost your career prospects. Join us at the Experience Japan Exhibition 2020 Online and you too will find that Japan is a perfect study abroad destination for you.
