Waseda University Partial Tuition Waiver for Privately Financed International Students

Eligibility Undergraduate/Graduate students (Excluding doctoral program students) Amount 50% reduction of tuition Availability about 250 Scholarship Period 1 year This scholarship is designated for privately financed students with excellent academic records. Based on review of academic records and Purpose of Scholarship financial circumstances, students are awarded a 50% reduction in their annual tuition.

Azusa Ono Memorial Scholarship Eligibility Undergraduate/Graduate students Amount ¥400,000 Undergraduate students: 26 Availability Graduate students: 41 Scholarship Period 1 year This scholarship commemorates Azusa Ono, a key figures in Waseda Purpose of Scholarship University's foundation and is designated to support international students with limited financial resources.

Scholarship for Young Doctoral Students Students enrolled after the 2009 academic year Regular full-time doctoral students, within the standard term of their degree Eligibility Students under 30 years of age on April 1st of the year of receiving scholarship Amount ¥200,000 ~ 600,000 (depends on the area of study) Availability about 600 (including Japanese students) Scholarship Period 1 year The purpose of this scholarship is to support and encourage admission of Purpose of Scholarship young people with high-level research skills and a rich knowledge base into graduate school doctoral courses.

Waseda University Emergency Scholarship Undergraduate/Graduate students who have experienced a sudden Eligibility change in family finances within the last year Amount ¥400,000 Availability 40 maximum Scholarship Period 1 year This scholarship is designated for students, who at the time of Purpose of Scholarship application, have had a sudden change in their family's financial circumstances within the past year which affats their academic endeavors.
