Welcome to this introductory informational meeting for the SPHS Dragon Tour to China. The trip is hosted by JESIE and (The Jiangsu Education Services for International Exchange) and Sponsored by SPCC and its student club.

This program offers students an opportunity to better understand Chinese language and culture. Students will join the local Chinese high school to take classes such as Chinese painting, embroidery, tea ceremony, folk music and dance, pottery, bonsai, calligraphy, and Tai Chi. Students will also tour the beautiful Suzhou gardens and Nanjing University. - Visit the cities of: Shanghai, Nanjing, and Suzhou - Open to SPHS students - Registration deadline: October 9th - Program costs: $300 registration fee including domestic transportation, accommodations, meals, tickets for local tours, and travel insurance expenses in China. Due Date to Pay Refundable Deposit of $300 to confirm intent to participate Pay online using Paypal at http://www.spcc-web.org/spcc-high-school-branch Or pay via check made payable to SPCC and submitted to SPCC high school branch board member. Cash may not be submitted and will not be accepted. Tuesday October 23rd by 10pm Drop Deadline to have Refundable Deposit returned Request must be directly emailed to Yuki Cutcheon at [email protected] Note that it may take a week to be refunded by the SPCC Treasurer. Due Date to Submit Picture of Current Passport not expiring before Sept 2019 Picture must include the full view of the passport photo and all written info surrounding it. Friday November 9th by 8am Lunch Prep Party #1: Visa Application Form All participating students will attend their 1st prep meeting in a series of Lunch Prep Parties. Lunch Prep Parties are mandatory for all participating students. Students will fill out their Visa Application Form, adult organizers will be on hand to assist. Friday November 16th during SPHS Lunch (location TBD) Due Date for SPUSD Parent Consent Form Parent Consent Forms will be sent to students and parents electronically the week prior. Students will bring and submit the completed Consent Letter to Lunch Prep Party #1. Due Date for all Remaining Money for the Trip (total cost TBD) Money is not refundable under any and all circumstances. Students paying completely out of pocket will be sent an Invoice of Amount Due, Students who participated in Fundraising will have their equal share of the fundraising profits minused from the Amount Due and sent an Invoice reflecting that updated Amount Due Total.
