Trader Joe’s Pas Yisroel & Cholov Yisroel List: 5780/2020 Compiled By Rabbi Nissan Zibell Important To Note:

 Many Hashgachos on the list below are relying on a glow bar heating element or a pilot to make their products Pas Yisroel. One should check with their Rav if their standard is to accept this way of making products Pas Yisroel.

 Anything that doesn’t clearly say Pas Yisroel on a package should be double checked with the Hashgacha on a yearly basis. At times, there may products that are not on a Hashgacha’s list as being Pas Yisroel, but are in fact Pas Yisroel. You can send us an email at [email protected], or check with Rabbanim in the kashrus field who would know of such products and if anything has changed in their status. One should also stay informed by following kashrus agencies and kashrus alerts for any changes that may happen.

 Although some products may look exactly the same as others - and may even be the same product - if the hechsher changes, or if it is the same product under a different hechsher that is mentioned on the list below, then the Pas Yisroel status will change too. One should be careful that not just the product name matches the list, but that it also matches the hechsher that is on the list below.

The Following products at Trader Joe’s are currently confirmed to be Pas Yisroel.

Chof K:

 Ezekiel Bread (all sliced bread varieties and the wraps)  San Francisco Style Sour Dough Bread (says Pas Yisroel on it). This can be found only in some stores.

OK:

 Sprouted Whole Grain Pizza Crust (says Pas Yisroel on it).  Soft Baked Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (says Pas Yisroel on it). Note that the Cookies with a best-by date of Nov 04 2020 in inkjet on the package are not Pas Yisroel.  Bagels: Trader Joe’s 7 Grain Bagel Trader Joe’s Everything Bagel Trader Joe’s Plain Bagel Trader Joe’s Sesame Seed Bagel Regarding all OK bagels: If it doesn’t say Pas Yisroel on the packaging, one should periodically check online on the OK’s Product Search to confirm.  Sprouted Rye Multigrain Bread (says Pas Yisroel on it).
