Directors are looking to appoint caring and child-centred Teaching Assistants to undertake different roles within class at our vibrant and friendly Academy.

Recent practical experience of teaching high quality support work across EYFS and KS1 (or lower KS2) is desirable, although all applications would be considered. Relevant experience of working with children with complex emotional needs and implementing behaviour plans confidently would be an advantage but not essential.

You will be keen to work with children within a Primary or Infant setting and have an insight into how focussed support can help maximise attainment and support those with individual needs. You will have good communication skills, be able to embrace change and take advice. You will be motivated and really care about children. The post holder’s key responsibilities will be to: Support children within class; As directed, provide support in class alongside our existing Teaching Assistants implementing support programmes. Implement and maintain effective support for children with BESD and their family; Work in partnership with the Class Teacher, the Inclusion Leader, SENCo, CP Officer, Parent Support Officer and Key Leaders.

We’re giving our lunchtimes a healthy boost of active play and sport!

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our lunchtime team - whether to work regularly at school or on an “as and when” basis.

The successful candidates will help our children get the most from our healthy lunchtimes – whether helping children enjoy our delicious lunchtime menu or leading energetic and active sport or play in our large grounds. Working alongside the current lunchtime team, the HLA will help make our lunchtime experience as healthy as possible for our children.

You will be expected to support the children across the whole school in making nutritiously balanced food choices. You will also need to be able to organise fun physical activities that are both engaging and appropriate for the age group.

You will need to be punctual, creative and able to demonstrate that you are able to use your own initiative and have a good understanding of the importance of healthy eating and physical activity. Experience of engaging, working and playing with young children is essential. An up to date First Aid qualification would be desirable. This post is also subject to a clear DBS check.
