Thursday, April 29 St. , Virgin and Doctor CATHERINE OF SIENA Acts 13:13-25 Feast Day: April 29  of Temptation Ps 89:2-3, 21-22, 25 and 27 Catherine was born on March 25, 1347, in Siena, . She was the youngest child in a Jn 13:16-20 large Italian family and knew that she was devoted to God from an early age. When she was six years old, she had a fantastic vision of Jesus and the Lord blessed her. Catherine Friday, April 30 never forgot this image in her mind. Her parents wanted her to marry, but she refused St. Pius V, Pope on account of her desire for a religious life. Catherine became a Dominican tertiary, a Acts 13:26-33 mystic, and also manifested the on occasion. In a later vision she was married Ps 2:6-7, 8-9, 10-11ab to Christ and the infant Jesus offered her a wedding ring as a symbol of this union. She Jn 14:1-6 died in 1380 of a mysterious illness.

FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER OUTREACH EVENTS

DONATE TO THE HOUSEHOLD AND CLOTHING DRIVE! Saturday, 4/24, 9am-5pm Sunday, 4/25, 9am until truck is full! (Or 2pm) This semiannual Clothing Drive is scheduled just in time for spring cleaning! Check those cabinets and closets in your home for any gear you no longer need. Household goods and small appliances (no larger than a microwave, please) are welcome and will greatly benefit those who are in need. Please place all items in plastic bags with secured closure. Your donations will be delivered to St. Francis Outreach in McArthur, Ohio.

DONATE TO THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOWER Every year, the Respect Life Groups from St. Francis, Blessed Sacrament, and St. Edward each host a Little Flower Baby Shower. Heartbeats recommends a mom who can use our prayers, gifts, and blessings. And each parish supports the others’ showers. St. Francis is hosting our 2021 Little Flower Shower Sunday, 4/2 from 2-4pm in Johnson Hall. Shyanne is expecting TRIPLETS later this summer – two girls and a boy. She has a three-year- old daughter Isabella and is so excited to welcome her new little ones. She is a single mom with lots of support from her parents. Let us be the hands and feet of Christ as we shower this family with prayers, written notes of support, and gifts. All gifts need to be collected by Saturday, 4/1 to be presented at the shower. An Amazon Gift Registry has been created with some needs and wants for Shyanne and her children. Please note that the Amazon registry is managed by the Little Flower Shower coordinator, and all gifts purchased on Amazon can be sent to the shower coordinator to be delivered to the family.
