BARBER COURSE OVERVIEW

The Federico Barber program combines old world tradition with new school techniques. Strike a balance between contemporary trends and classic practices and get the skills to become a successful Barber.

BARBER PROGRAM COST: $20,475.00 Standard Tuition $16,875.00 Supplies (estimated) $3,600.00

CLOCK HOUR REQUIREMENTS: 1500

Full Time Schedule: 30 hours a week 12.5 months to graduate in normal time Tuesday—Friday 9:30am-5:30 pm

Part Time Schedule: 20 hours a week 18.5 months to graduate in normal time Tuesday – Friday 5:30pm-8:30 pm Saturday 8:30am – 5:00pm

Absences: Students may miss up to 150 hours, but must maintain 85% in attendance at all times. After exceeding the 150 hour limit, they are charged an hourly rate of $11.25 for every hour missed.

Some of my classes may be combined with students from other courses and or taught by qualified educators licensed in other areas.

REGISTRATION DEPOSIT: In order to register for a class start date you must complete the steps of enrollment and pay the registration deposit of $150.00 to Federico Beauty Institute. This payment includes the $20.00 locker deposit. Acceptable payment methods include cash, check, money order, bank check and credit cards (except American Express). If you do not pay the deposit, you are unable to enroll and you are not held a spot in the class.

Outside models are required. At other times, a student may be required to act as a model for a fellow student as part of their learning experience. This includes, but is not limited to face shaving.

Externship Program (Except VA): at completion of 900 clock hours, 10% of hours can be earned in local barber shops.

Pre-application for State Board: at 1125 clock hours, students can pre-apply to guarantee an exam date as early as 2 weeks after graduation. If students do not pre-apply, there is a 6 week- 6 month wait.
