(Village wine) BELLMUNT (red & white wine) • Mas d’en Gil is an agricultural estate in Bellmunt del Priorat, in the Southern part of the Priorat region. From the 12th century onwards it used to belong to the Carthusian monastery Scala Dei and thus is an integral part of the HISTORIC PRIORAT.

• Francesc Gil i Borràs, one of the first Catalan enologist and from Reus, founded Mas d’en Gil in 1867 lending his name to the winery.

• The Rovira Carbonell family, in the wine industry since four generations, has been taking care of the estate since 1998. They produce wine, olive oil, wine vinegar, nuts and almonds, always with a view to preserving biodiversity.

• Surface Mas d’en Gil: Forest (55 ha), Vinyards (38 ha), Olive trees (15 ha) and both Nuts and Almonds.
