Art Basel is an internationally acclaimed art fair with three locations (Hong Kong, Miami, and New York). The Hong Kong fair focuses on modern and contemporary art, and more than half of the 200+ galleries represent Asian artists.
Sunday, March 15 Arrive Arrive at hotel in Hong Kong, welcome drink and group dinner
Monday, March 16 Overview of City, Gallery visits Start the trip with a tour and a visit to the Hong Kong Museum of History. In the evening, attend events as part of the kick off for Art Basel Hong Kong.
Tuesday, March 17 Art Basel Hong Kong opens, private collection & studio tour Art Basel opens to VIPs. Tour the private collection of a local artist & collector.
Wednesday, March 18 Art Central & Maritime Museum Art Central is another art fair held this week, also not to be missed. Featuring 100+ contemporary galleries and an impressive lineup of lectures and performances throughout the week, Art Central is making its own mark on the Hong Kong art scene. The afternoon will include high tea and free time for high-end shopping in the surrounding neighborhood.
Thursday, March 19 Day trip to Lamma Island Located southwest of Hong Kong island, Lamma Island is the third-largest island in Hong Kong’s Islands District. It offers a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The island is a popular destination for nature-lovers and is known for its scenic beaches and seafood restaurants.
Friday, March 20 Kowloon Markets, Museums & Victoria Harbor Light Show Hong Kong has a vibrant market culture that ranges from street food to jade trinkets and beyond.
Saturday, March 21 FREE DAY and celebration dinner
Sunday, March 22 Wrap up and depart Final breakfast at hotel, followed by free time until departure for airport
