THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF IROQUOIS FALLS BY-LAW NO. 3257/14 "Being a By-Law to Repeal By-Law No. 2958/06.”

WHEREAS Council for The Corporation of the Town of Iroquois Falls deems it expedient to repeal By-Law No. 2958/06, a By-Law to authorize the sale of certain lands to Child and Family Services of Timmins and District; and

WHEREAS the organization, formerly known as the Child and Family Services of Timmins and District, is now Northeastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services.

NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF IROQUOIS FALLS ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. That By-Law No. 2958/06 is repealed.

THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF IROQUOIS FALLS

BY-LAW NO. 2958/06

“Being a By-Law to authorize the sale of certain lands to Child and Family Services of Timmins and District.”

WHEREAS Council of the Corporation of the Town of Iroquois Falls entered into an Agreement with Child and Family Services of Timmins and District for the lease of municipally owned property located at 298 Cambridge Avenue in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, and

WHEREAS Council deems it in the best interest of the municipality to divest itself of this property upon the expiration of the said lease to ensure the sustainability of a vital facility.

THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF IROQUOIS FALLS ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. That the lands, hereinafter more particularly described, be sold to Child and Family Services of Timmins and District for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) upon the expiration of the term of the lease, namely August 31st, 2014.

2. That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary to transfer the title of the said property to Child and Family Services of Timmins and District.

3. The lands being dealt with are: The Surface Rights of Parcels 2838, 2954, 992, and 7066 SEC NEC; Plan M37T
