IV. Public Comments: [To be limited to 15 minutes; 3 minutes per person]:

V. Items of Business:

A. ASG will go over and review the calendar and delegate whom will be assigned to

chair the events and to assist Kasey with ICC events.

• There are not that many events for the month of October that were constructed

by ASG; however, ASG members will attend other club events whenever

possible. Carolyn and Arthur will attend the Blood Drive which is hosted by

PIA.

B. ASG will go over and review the current bylaws of ASG.

• Joshua Loper: For the Bylaws, I just wanted to remind everyone about

decorum. We are to carry ourselves in a proper manner. Not just during the

meeting, but also outside of them and around campus. Let us set ourselves to

higher standards than most would think for a group of college students. Let us

set it to what we say as, “High levels of professional and appropriate

behavior.” Also, while looking through the Bylaws, we still have “faculty

advisor” come up around seven times. Can we look into removing that from

our bylaws, since we no longer have one?

All ASG of BCC meetings will provide disability accommodations if needed. Please request such accommodations 5 working days prior to and contact Joanna Garcia at [email protected] or by (760) 252-2411 x7374

and continue to use the same card or until you run out of room. The Meet the

Candidate practice is on October 14th at 6:30 p.m. and the actual Meet the

Candidate night is on October 20 at 7:00 p.m. We are extending the senator

position interview timeframe, so the next interview sessions will be on

Wednesday at 5:00. Also Desert Fiat has been reaching out to us. One of the

- Ladale Rogers: Absent

- Erika Gomez: The Financial Aid department has sent out applications for

scholarships. The Spring online scholarships are still available. The Fafsa start

date has been changed and I will help anyone if they have questions. Also

UCLA is hosting an Open House this weekend, but you have to register before

going. Eduardo is a great person to talk to if you have plans for transferring,

he also has a cool handout about common transfer student mistakes. The

calendar is great, but a great change would be adding the day that the event is

going to be on.

- Arthur Ramirez: Like Erika, I wanted to mention that Fafsa opened this

October. Also the UC application is open and submission date is coming very

soon. Also students have been asking me about the clubs, so a great idea is to

make fliers, which would allow the students to quickly discover and know

about the clubs.

- Rajanae Stone: If PIA cannot get the $400, do they have a time limit to pay?

• Aylin: There will not be a time limit for PIA, but it should be paid by

the end of the semester or school year.

- Ricardo Cuevas: Absent
