How to become an art addict ...... and how even a newspaper or magazine can awake our creative potential

Would you like to get to know and enjoy the contemporary art scene without being frightened off by mystifying theories and definitions, or discover an easy and creative way to work off everyday frustrations and improve your spoken English at the same time? The object of this course is to break down art and language barriers or inhibitions, make the“ unapproachable“ approachable, and introduce art as a way of communication, whatever the spoken language..

Excursions to exhibitions and artists’ studios in the region, discussions on the different ways of looking at art combined with a little relaxed practical work in a contemporary, day-to-day context are an integral part of this project conducted by a native English-speaker and artist.

Previous knowledge of, or experience in art theory or practice is not necessary. A basic knowledge of spoken English is recommended. Participants wishing to give a paper on a given theme are welcome to do so by prior arrangement.
