As always, family, friends and her own work ethic helped her through the tough days. “I was able to make a full recovery thanks to my family, who was extremely supportive,” she recalled. “My staff was also amazing, es- pecially [former Executive Vice President] Cathy Mogavero.” “I looked at my recovery like any project I would work on,” she recalled. “I assessed the problem and became solution-oriented.” “I had a purpose, I focused on my role as a mother and as the leader of the chamber,” she added.
