One of the world’s most internationally renowned Latino artists comes to DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.

Alejandro Sanz’s career in music began in in the 1990s, with his first disc (1991), which became the top-selling of the year. This record was followed by two other hit : Si tú me miras (1993) and Alejandro Sanz 3 (1995). Yet it was his 1997 album Más that launched him to international fame, selling over 5 million copies. Next came (2000), (2003), and (2006). Later, his Paraíso Express (2009), brought him major recognition, giving rise to one of the biggest concert tours of 2010: more than 800,000 viewers enjoyed the concerts of his Tour Paraíso, which took him to the main venues of Latin America, Spain and the United States.

In 2011, he was honoured with prestigious awards, including the Spanish Ministry of Culture’s Medal of Merit in Fine Arts, the White House Vision Award for his philanthropic work through the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and the ASCAP Award (given by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) in recognition of his great contributions to Latin music.

His latest album, La música no se toca, was released on 25 September 2012. This record was produced by Alejandro himself, along with the famous producer and arranger Copello, a winner of 2 Grammys and 9 ASCAP Awards.
