ENROLLMENT SNAPSHOT SPRING 2020

PROGRAM OVERVIEW Math Start is a developmental education intervention based on the CUNY Start math curriculum for CUNY associate degree-seeking students assessed with significant remedial math needs. Math Start is offered over an entire semester during the fall or spring in 8-10 week cycles, or as an intensive 8-week summer program. As with CUNY Start, students who successfully complete and pass their Math Start program meet CUNY math proficiency milestones and are able to enroll in college credit math courses. This snapshot provides program data for all participants who were officially enrolled in Math Start in Spring 2020, including both those who completed and those who did not complete the program. Classes in Spring 2020 were held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
