W.C. Fields Lincoln on Display very special Lincoln is com- ing to the Lincoln Motor A Car Heritage Museum this summer—a 1933 Lincoln KB LeBaron convertible that was purchased new by comedian W. C. The Lincoln is being placed on loan by the current owner, David Gunther of Rancho Cucamonga, California, who acquired the car as a teen- ager in 1958. The Lincoln will be on display through August 2022, when the LMCF and the Lincoln Motor Company will celebrate the centennial of Ford Motor Company’s acquisition of the Lincoln Motor Company. ...and the Alfred Lucking Limousine his 1922 Lincoln type 118 limousine will go on display in the LMCHM T in August 2021. It has been donated by Larry Smith of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The Lincoln, which features a custom body by Lang of Cleveland, Ohio, was owned new by Alfred Lucking, the personal attorney for Henry Ford. It is in largely original condition. Lucking represented Ford in his legal dispute with the Brothers as well as Ford’s suit against the Chicago Tribune. This Lincoln replaces a 1923 Lincoln phaeton that had been on loan by Lisa Passey Chaffin. That car was the first Lincoln purchased by her father, the late Jack Passey Jr., a Lincoln aficionado who preferred origi- nal cars over restored examples. A special display—“Preservation vs. Restoration”— was created in his memory by the AACA Cabrillo (Calif.) Region.
