The Season of Lent is upon us and while it’s a season of grace and renewal for the entire Community of the Baptized (the Church), I ask for a special remembrance in your prayers for our RCIA/RCIC members as their journey of preparation for Easter now intensifies in personal ways. Around the globe, and even in our parish, there are many who are longing for the waters of Baptism and fullness of communion with Christ’s Church. I am happy to share with you that we have eleven catechumens (unbaptized) and three candidates (already baptized) who will join our ranks at Easter! We will recognize them next weekend as the Elect among us. May God’s choicest blessings be upon them as they move closer to sacramental life with us. Growth in one’s personal relationships with the Lord and His Church is reason to celebrate at St. Francis de Sales Parish and we should all be looking forward to the festivities of the Paschal Triduum 2021.
