Room 21 : Mausoleum of Halikarnassos: One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

This is a (huge) fragment of the four-horse chariot that crowned the pyramid tomb of King Maussollos of Halikarnassos. This tomb was 40 metres high and was decorated with different statues. This king’s tomb became so famous that gave his name to all monumental tombs.
