Why should you join the union? • The union negotiates the collective agreements for its agreement sectors. We work together to make sure you have a better and safer working life. • We help you with problems at your workplace or in your employment relationship. The shop stewards at your workplace are the key persons you should turn to. • You and the shop stewards can influence matters at your own workplace and in the union in cooperation. • The union offers you a wide variety of membership benefits from training to legal aid and unemployment security. The union looks after your interests even when you face changes or challenges in your working life.

How to join

You can join online or fill in a membership form at your nearest regional office. The union membership fee is always determined for one calendar year at a time. In 2021, the membership fee is 1.33% of the income subject to withholding tax. The membership fee can be withheld directly from your pay, or you can pay the fee yourself.
