In TURN, THE PAGE OF NOTES writing this, I took great liberties and chose instead to cater to future CHESHIRE CAT audiences. I believe that a playwright’s first loyalty should be to the DOROTHY OF OZ audience. Lewis Carroll wrote it as a storybook and much of his 2 OF HEARTS dialogue was already perfect for the stage; and then again, to make it 5 OF HEARTS more interesting from an audience view point, there needed to be some changes. For one thing, there is absolutely no plot—which is perfectly 70F HEARTS fine for a storybook. But for a play it is important to have at least a HUMPTY DUMPTY’ thread. I don’t pretend to have come up with a plot. To do that would QUEEN OF HEARTS have been unfair to Lewis Carroll, but I did weave a thread to hold it 3 OF HEARTS together. 4 OF HEARTS 60F HEARTS The most important aspect of this particular play, due to the amount of 8 OF HEARTS dialogue, is that the best way for it to work, is rapidfire. Use Abbot and EXECUTIONEROF HEARTS Costello’s “Who’s On First” as a guide. For this to happen, everyone SOLDIEROF HEARTS must learn their lines as soon as possible and practice them often.
