Igniting the Inner Fire A Workshop with Dave Curtis at Ananta , Wicklow Heading into spring is the perfect time to ignite the inner fire (jathara ) through the use of detoxifying twists & backbends

Using Vinyasa Krama (intelligent sequencing) this workshop will focus on standing & seated twists and backbends to stimulate Samana (the equalising wind) which flows through the belt (waist) channels of the subtle energy () system. During this transitional time it can be useful to adapt the practice to stimulate and restore balance from within. After the festivities of the holiday season and during the winter season the inner fire (Jathara Agni – literally ‘stomach fire) may be low and out of balance. Learning to stimulate and restore this fire is an important element to maintaining a balanced and effective yoga practice. This workshop is open to all levels of student with six months or more of consistent practice. For those interested in the upcoming teacher training this workshop will give you some insight as to what to expect from this style of teaching.

There will be three sessions. They may be taken separately however for maximum benefits it is recommended to take all three sessions as they will build on each other consecutively.

Dave Curtis is a well-respected teacher all over Ireland with over twelve years of teaching experience. Over the last seven years he has run one of the most comprehensive teacher training programmes in the country with over 100 graduates. His style is both challenging but light hearted as this journey continually reminds him not to take life too seriously.
