May Prayer Letter

Dear Family and Friends,

Last you heard from us, we were seeking God’s leading in the city for our ministry. We are excited to tell you that He has directed us to (“frog-uh”), Huesca! Join us in praising God for His guidance and provision!

Let me tell you a bit about Fraga so that you can fall in love with the town and the people here as we have. Located near the Catalonian border in Huesca, Fraga has a population of 15,000 and there is only one ethnic minority church in town. The closest evangelical church reaching Spaniards is about 35 minutes away in the state of Catalonia.

Since Fraga is near an interstate connecting several major cities, the town is growing with new industries. Fruit production is big around here too, which attracts many temporary workers during the spring and summer months. With a large variety of people, the town is busy and full of life.

The natives of Fraga have a unique dialect, Fragatino. Thankfully, Spanish remains the primary language. Many also speak Catalan, so learning Catalan is once again a goal of mine to better connect with people and also the possibility of expanding our ministry into Catalonia down the road. We are so excited to see what God could do in Fraga that we are nearly overwhelmed with the potential for ministry.

God has answered our prayers by providing an affordable apartment with a great landlord who is willing to work with our unusual employment situation. We share the building with his parents who are very welcoming and already treat us like family. God allowed our move to go quickly and smoothly. Maddy is doing a great job making this place our home, and Donovan and Nathan are getting used to their new house. I can’t really believe that we haven’t had a place that we can call ours for the past 8 months!

Getting involved and immersed in the local culture is our first step. I have applied for jobs and left my resume in a number of employment offices. While I wait, I can start volunteering locally to build relationships. Discovering and joining other local activities is also on the To-Do list—all with the goal of establishing relationships and having gospel conversations. We have a lot to do and are thankful for this!

Prayer Points

• Opportunities to share the good news with our neighbors (Ramón and Lola) and our landlord (Ramón), and that He would prepare their hearts to receive it. • Wisdom in choosing activities that would get us connected in the community. • A part time job • Opportunities to meet and invite people to participate in a Bible Study. • Donovan is having a hard time adjusting (maybe because he’s almost 3?), please pray for an over-abundance of love, patience, and wisdom as we try to guide him.

Our field address is: Calle de Huesca 51, 2º Fraga, Huesca 26006

Thank you so much for your prayers, support, and commitment to seeing Christ shared with the unreached.

All for Jesus!
