Helen Palmer County Archivist has offered to host a Denman Fund-raiser in the Old Town Hall Aberystwyth, Friday 22nd July, 7 p.m. Proceeds in aid of the Denman Appeal. The evening will be open to all, tickets £5 each, please sell as many as possible to family and friends. More details next month.

ACWW: Our new project is 'Skill development training programme for Kanikkar tribal women in India.' Ceredigion Federation has pledged £1500. We shall be arranging fundraising events over the next few months.

ACWW Triennial Conference University of Warwick, 18-20August 2016. Please give any crafts to Bethan Williams (Wig and District WI) before the conference. There will be a craft stall at the conference so we would be very grateful for any contributions. Proceeds will go the ACWW.

The computer classes previously advertised have been postponed to September for reasons beyond our control.

The Textile Art Group are making cotton bags for ACWW in May and June. All welcome. Plain and patterned cotton fabric from 3 inch squares upwards. If you wish to just donate a fat quarter of cotton fabric that would be appreciat- ed. TAG meet 2nd Saturdays Hall 11-3. Bring packed lunch. Tea/coffee available.

We express our deep regret of Dr. Susie Jordan’s departure in July. The family are moving to Spain for a year. We are grateful to Susie for her hard work over the last three years, particularly her kindness and consideration to members Federation Secretary Vacancy: The position of Federation Secretary is a Part Time job involving some 40 hours per month. The applicant will require experience of running an office and using their own initiative, also the ability to work with a team, and also be conversant with computer skills (Word and Publisher essential). WI News:

Aberporth W.I host a musical evening at the village hall with the Aberystwyth Silver Band. £4 per adult £1 per child. Refreshments included. Saturday 11th June. All enquiries to Secretary Dolly Smith. Llanafan WI host their Annual Coffee Evening in Lisburne Hall, Llanafan on Friday 24th June. Entry £1. Doors open at 7p.m. for refreshments, raffle stalls and a chance to catch up with friends. WI is holding a day trip to Llandudno on Wednesday 10th August with the option of seeing the show, ‘Save the Last Dance for Me’. Price of the coach is £12, the cost of the show is £22.50.
