Principles of Extractive Metallurgy

The first two volumes of Principles of Extractive Metallurgy were published by Gordon and Breach Science Publishers in New York in 1969 and 1970, respectively. Volume 1 in 413 pages and volume 2 in 457 pages. They were reprinted few years later but no updating. They were revised, enlarged, updated and published by Métallurgie Extractive Québec in Quebec City as follows:

• Volume 1 of Principles of Extractive Metallurgy was replaced by Metals from Ores. Introduction to Extractive Metallurgy, published in 2003 in 472 pages and Kinetics of Metallurgical Processes, published in 1999 in 400 pages • Volume 2 of Principles of Extractive Metallurgy was replaced by Textbook of Hydrometallurgy, published in 1993 in 700 pages then a second edition in 1999 in 750 pages

Volume 3 of Principles of Extractive metallurgy published by Gordon and Breaach in 1986 (reprinted 1992), 479 pages is now out of print. A new expanded and revised edition entitled Textbook of Pyrometallurgy, was published in 2002 by Métallurgie Extractive Québec in 660 pages

Volume 4: Amalgam and Electrometallurgy was published by Métallurgie Extractive Québec in 1998, 400 pages

[Volume 5]: Pollution Problems in the Mineral and Metallurgical Industries, published by Métallurgie Extractive Québec in 1996 in 240 pages

[Volume 6]: A History of Metallurgy was published by Métallurgie Extractive Québec in 1994 in 350 pages [a collection of edited articles]

[Volume 7]: Metallurgical Chemistry, An audio Course published by the American Chemical Society in Washington, DC in 1987, 279 pp. + 5 cassettes (1 hr. each). Re- issued in digitalized form by Métallurgie Extractive Québec in 2007 (book & CD), is a condensed version of all previous volumes.
