Implementation Status Overview Overall progress is moderately satisfactory: despite a significant increase of commitments since fall 2012, disbursements have been slower than expected due to exceptional and unfavorable weather conditions impeding construction activities through the month of April. Construction activities are now back to full speed in all sub-projects under implementation.

Public Disclosure Copy Works are now completed in six sub-projects and have been initiated in nine others out of twenty sub-projects. Procurement activities have been initiated in three of the five remaining sub-projects. In the two last sites, preparation of designs and bidding documents is ongoing.

Over the past 6 months: - disbursements have increased by US$ 3.9 million, reaching US$ 24.0 million (40% of loan amount) - commitments have increased by US$ 8.9 million, reaching US$ 40.5 million (68% of loan amount); - works worth close to US$ 6.0 million are at an advanced stage of procurement.

On May 31, 2013, the government of Belarus signed a first order project restructuring which included: (a) a revision of the Project Development Objectives (PDO), indicators and targets aligned with Project activities, (b) an extension of the closing date to December 31, 2014, and, (c) triggering of the involuntary resettlement and physical cultural resources safeguard policies.
