EDUCATION MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE (EMA)

The Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is a means tested weekly allowance payable in two weekly instalments in arrears during term time only. This is intended to encourage students to stay on at school in post-compulsory education.
