This is a very proud time in the history of Cardinal Spellman High School. As Cardinal Spellman celebrates its 50th Anniversary, we celebrate the achievements of all our alumni. Today, we are especially proud of the achievements of Class of ’72 graduate, Sonia Sotomayor, as she is appointed Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Her appointment is one

National Induction Ceremony Twenty-one new members inducted

On Thursday, March 26th, the National Honor Society of Cardinal Spellman High School proudly accepted and inducted twenty-one students. The ceremony took place in the Little Theater and was attended by parents, relatives, faculty and administration. Ms. Keane, the moderator of the National Honor Society, officiated over the distinguished ceremony as new members took their oaths and presented a rose to their parents. Devon Osei and Frances Trosa received the Spellman Spirit Award, while the Spellman Alumni Award went to Randy eustache and Julie Fuentes. The Seton-DeLaSalle Award, named in honor of St. , founder of the Sisters of Charity, and Saint John Baptist de La Salle, founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, was presented to Jamie Lee Ramos and Matthew White. Faculty Members Celebrating Anniversaries in 2009

As the 2008-2009 School year comes to an end, we celebrate the anniversaries of 8 Faculty members at Spellman. Mr. Michael Philp (Social Studies Department), Mr. Fred Opper (Physical education), and Mr. Frank Nardone (english Department) celebrate 20 years. The Social Studies Department’s Mr. Timothy Rivlin has reached 25 years of service at Spellman. Dr. Loretta Tomasiello (Religion Department) and Ms. Jeri Faulkner (Dean of Students) have made 30 years. Ms. Vilma Mazzella of the Mathematics and Foreign Language Departments has completed her 35th year. Celebrating an impressive 45 years with Spellman is Fr. John Monaghan , heading up the Audio Visual Department.
