Gallo Winery’s commitment to the protecting the land and enhancing wildlife habitat through sustainable agricultural practices originated with the Winery’s co-founders, Ernest and Julio, in the late 1930s. All of the Winery’s coastal vineyards participate in a unique land management plan started by the co-founders where for every acre of land planted in , one acre of property is set aside to help protect and enhance wildlife habitat.
