  • Singular Selections Artisan, Estate Grown Wines
SINGULAR SELECTIONS ARTISAN, ESTATE GROWN WINES We are proud to announce our partnership with Singular Selections. Singular Selection’s mission is to bring artisan wineries from the major wine producing regions of Italy to the U.S. market. They represent only small, family owned, estate-grown properties that express and personify their grape varietal type in its purest form and exemplify the truest characteristics of their terroir. Owner Marty Tiersky features limited production estates that are quality and cultural benchmarks of Italy and their respective regions. His philosophy is one of stewardship, culture and passion. La Bellanotte 2008 Armonica - 12/750ml List $146 Net $134 5+cs of btg $120 An artisan winery that encompasses eight hectares of vineyards situated between the terroirs of the Isonzo valley and Collio hills in Italy’s north eastern corner near the border with Slovenia. Ezio Benassi, a Tuscan who fought in Friuli in World War II, returned and purchased the property now known as La Bellanotte. Armonico, harmoni- ous in English, is a blend of Malvasia Istriana and Friuliana (fka Tocai). The all estate grown vineyards encompass the DOC sub zones of Collio and Isonzo. The soil is mainly calcareous with the presence of red gravel and a layer of ferrous stone. Harvesting is hand done with careful bunch selection in the winery. Aromonico displays fresh, crisp, aromatics and flavors of citrus, apple, yellow peach, pineapple and almond with mineral notes, a vibrant, lively mouth feel and a crisp acidity. La Bellanotte 2006 Merlot - 12/750ml List $216 Net $192 Tasting this wine you will perceive where this vine is produced: this region, Friuli Venezia Giulia, is reflected in this wine.
