2 ONLINE MAP BASICS

Expand or contract any of the panels on the page by hovering the mouse over the grey edge of a panel. When the double arrow appears, click and drag the mouse to make the panel smaller or larger

3 HOW TO USE MAP LAYERS

All available layers are listed on either side of the map Layers can be turned on or off by checking/un-checking the box To view a layer’s legend, click on the arrow (>) to the left of the layer name The layers in Grey text are not visible until you zoom in to a specific extent Once they are eligible for visibility, the layer name will turn from grey to black

4 HOW TO USE MAP LAYERS

As you zoom in, there will be a point at which all the layer names turn black Below, I have checked on the Preliminary Floodplain layer after the name has turned to black I have also clicked on the small grey arrow to the left of the teal check-box to see the floodplain legend When zoomed in ground level, the floodplain layer may take 2-5 minutes to initially appear

5 SEARCH FOR A RECORD

The search bar allows you to search by all of the following: As you begin to type into the search bar, a drop down will Address start to give you options that contain what you have typed Owner and you must click on the correct option. ** The PRINT button will create a PDF that you can download to your computer, it will not print to your local printer **

21 CREATING A PDF OF THE MAP

Change the Map Title to something meaningful Below, I have changed the title to the two addresses that belong to the two highlighted parcels Press the PRINT button and a PDF will be created

22 SAVING A PDF TO YOUR COMPUTER

When the PDF opens in a new Click on the PDF that was , click on the arrow that is generated to open it in a new pointing down to download tab the PDF to your local computer

23 UN-SELECT OBJECTS IN THE MAP

To un-select the map objects, or parcel boundaries in this case, re-open the SELECT tool It will open in the last position that you moved it to Click on CLEAR
