The purpose of the present research is the computational evaluation of astragalin, a natural flavonoid extracted Islamabad, Pakistan from black tea, as an inhibitor of CCL28 by in silico docking. 2. Sagarika Biswas, Institute of Genomics and Methods: The three-dimensional structure of CCL28 to act as a molecular target was obtained from the Protein Data Bank (PDB ID: Integrative Biology, New Delhi, India 6CWS). The quality of the CCL28 structure was assessed using Phyre2 and Molecular Operating Environment (MOE) software was used for Any reports and responses or comments on the binding affinity analysis. -

Programming Java for OS X
Programming Java for OS X hat’s so different about Java on a Mac? Pure Java applica- tions run on any operating system that supports Java. W Popular Java tools run on OS X. From the developer’s point of view, Java is Java, no matter where it runs. Users do not agree. To an OS X user, pure Java applications that ignore the feel and features of OS X are less desirable, meaning the customers will take their money elsewhere. Fewer sales translates into unhappy managers and all the awkwardness that follows. In this book, I show how to build GUIs that feel and behave like OS X users expect them to behave. I explain development tools and libraries found on the Mac. I explore bundling of Java applications for deployment on OS X. I also discuss interfacing Java with other languages commonly used on the Mac. This chapter is about the background and basics of Java develop- ment on OS X. I explain the history of Java development. I show you around Apple’s developer Web site. Finally, I go over the IDEs commonly used for Java development on the Mac. In This Chapter Reviewing Apple Java History Exploring the history of Apple embraced Java technologies long before the first version of Java on Apple computers OS X graced a blue and white Mac tower. Refugees from the old Installing developer tan Macs of the 1990s may vaguely remember using what was tools on OS X called the MRJ when their PC counterparts were busy using JVMs. Looking at the MRJ stands for Mac OS Runtime for Java. -
PC Literacy II
Computer classes at The Library East Brunswick Public Library PC Literacy II Common Window Elements Most windows have common features, so once you become familiar with one program, you can use that knowledge in another program. Double-click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop to start the program. Locate the following items on the computer screen. • Title bar: The top bar of a window displaying the title of the program and the document. • Menu bar: The bar containing names of menus, located below the title bar. You can use the menus on the menu bar to access many of the tools available in a program by clicking on a word in the menu bar. • Minimize button: The left button in the upper-right corner of a window used to minimize a program window. A minimized program remains open, but is visible only as a button on the taskbar. • Resize button: The middle button in the upper-right corner of a window used to resize a program window. If a program window is full-screen size it fills the entire screen and the Restore Down button is displayed. You can use the Restore Down button to reduce the size of a program window. If a program window is less than full-screen size, the Maximize button is displayed. You can use the Maximize button to enlarge a program window to full-screen size. • Close button: The right button in the upper-right corner of a window used to quit a program or close a document window – the X • Scroll bars: A vertical bar on the side of a window and a horizontal bar at the bottom of the window are used to move around in a document. -

The GNOME Desktop Environment
The GNOME desktop environment Miguel de Icaza ([email protected]) Instituto de Ciencias Nucleares, UNAM Elliot Lee ([email protected]) Federico Mena ([email protected]) Instituto de Ciencias Nucleares, UNAM Tom Tromey ([email protected]) April 27, 1998 Abstract We present an overview of the free GNU Network Object Model Environment (GNOME). GNOME is a suite of X11 GUI applications that provides joy to users and hackers alike. It has been designed for extensibility and automation by using CORBA and scripting languages throughout the code. GNOME is licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL and the GNU LGPL and has been developed on the Internet by a loosely-coupled team of programmers. 1 Motivation Free operating systems1 are excellent at providing server-class services, and so are often the ideal choice for a server machine. However, the lack of a consistent user interface and of consumer-targeted applications has prevented free operating systems from reaching the vast majority of users — the desktop users. As such, the benefits of free software have only been enjoyed by the technically savvy computer user community. Most users are still locked into proprietary solutions for their desktop environments. By using GNOME, free operating systems will have a complete, user-friendly desktop which will provide users with powerful and easy-to-use graphical applications. Many people have suggested that the cause for the lack of free user-oriented appli- cations is that these do not provide enough excitement to hackers, as opposed to system- level programming. Since most of the GNOME code had to be written by hackers, we kept them happy: the magic recipe here is to design GNOME around an adrenaline response by trying to use exciting models and ideas in the applications. -

Customizing Eclipse RCP Applications Techniques to Use with SWT and Jface
Customizing Eclipse RCP applications Techniques to use with SWT and JFace Skill Level: Intermediate Scott Delap ([email protected]) Desktop/Enterprise Java Consultant Annas Andy Maleh ([email protected]) Consultant 27 Feb 2007 Most developers think that an Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) application must look similar in nature to the Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE). This isn't the case, however. This tutorial will explain a number of simple techniques you can use with the Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT) and JFace to create applications that have much more personality than the Eclipse IDE. Section 1. Before you start About this tutorial This tutorial will explain a number of UI elements that can be changed in Eclipse RCP, JFace, and SWT. Along the way, you will learn about basic changes you can make, such as fonts and colors. You will also learn advanced techniques, including how to create custom wizards and section headers. Using these in conjunction should provide you the ability to go from a typical-looking Eclipse RCP application to a distinctive but visually appealing one. Prerequisites Customizing Eclipse RCP applications © Copyright IBM Corporation 1994, 2008. All rights reserved. Page 1 of 40 developerWorks® ibm.com/developerWorks You should have a basic familiarity with SWT, JFace, and Eclipse RCP. System requirements To run the examples, you need a computer capable of adequately running Eclipse V3.2 and 50 MB of free disk space. Section 2. Heavyweight and lightweight widgets Before diving into techniques that can be used to modify SWT, JFace, and Eclipse RCP in general, it's important to cover the fundamental characteristics of SWT and how they apply to the appearance of the widget set. -
