How to save your Stop

● Open app ● Touch + to create a new movie ● Take pictures of your animation scene. (small changes per ; bigger changes for quicker animation). Playing with the slider bar on the left hand side can help you keep track of your last image compared to your current image. Touch one an image frame at the bottom of the screen to - delete - copy it - hold it for x seconds (especially good if you have words you want your viewer to be able to read) - change speed (12 fps vs. 3 fps, where fps means frames per second) - Some options (like draw, merge, erase) aren’t available on this free app. Adding sound is an option here, but you’ll have more control if you wait to do this later in iMovie when you’re done filming.

When you’re finished with ALL your animation: ● Touch the arrow on the left side of the screen to bring up the title screen of your movie ● If you want, you can give it a new name by touching the title--please choose something that is memorable to you (this name will not transfer, but having a memorable name is the best way to find your movie again if the upload is unsuccessful)

If you DON’T want to add sound and are DONE with your movie:

● Choose the box with the arrow coming out of it to save to Dropbox (NEW iOS) or save to camera roll and then upload to Dropbox (OLD iOS). See the next page for information about the Dropbox folder to use

If you want to add sound, upload your movie to iMovie:

● Choose the box with the arrow coming out of it OLD iOS: ○ Select save to camera roll, export format HD-1090p will auto-select, press Share ○ Press iPad button to return to its home screen ○ Open iMovie ○ Choose Projects at the top of the screen ○ Touch + to create a new project ○ Choose Movie ○ Your should be at the top of the screen (most recently added), touch it to select it ○ Touch Create Movie at bottom of the screen

NEW iOS ● Select export to iMovie, iMovie will open automatically, touch Create

In iMovie app ● Add music and sound effects from the audio option as you like (touching a sound once will play it), hit the Use button to bring it down to the editable payne under your video - can overlap music and sounds, shorten them, etc., line up the video to where you want to add sound effects

ALL done? ● Hit Done to go to the app’s main screen ● You can touch the title of the movie to rename it--please choose something that is memorable to you. You can enter an email address but will need to type out “at” and “dot” (this name will not transfer to Dropbox, but having a memorable name is the best way to find your movie again if the upload is unsuccessful)

● Choose the box with the arrow coming out of it to find Dropbox (perhaps in Other Application folder) ● Export / save to / open in DropBox.

(Which should open the Dropbox app.)
