The closest airport is in Stuttgart. Take the train to Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt and transfer to the train to Schwäbisch Gmünd. The trains run every half hour during rush hour and every hour during other times of the day. You will have to allow approximately an hour and fifteen minutes for the total trip by train.

Schwäbisch Gmünd is a train station on the intercity line that connects Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Nuremberg. The intercity trains run every two hours and take a total of 30 minutes.
