Virginia Herrero Gerardo Bielons La Liga Events GB Director MARKETING Matthew T. Brown has been at the University of South Carolina since 2005 where he teaches and researches in the areas of sport business and finance. Brown's research has led to publications in journals like the Journal of Sport Management, Sport Marketing Quarterly, Entertainment and Sport Law Journal, the International Journal of Sport Finance, and Sport Management Review.

In addition, Brown has made more than 40 national and international research presentations. Brown also serves as a liaison between the department and the Lexington County Blowfish, a wood bat baseball team in the Coastal Plain League.

In addition to his work with the Blowfish, Brown has served as the chief financial officer of the Southern Ohio Copperheads and treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Southern Ohio Collegiate Baseball Club. He was also the assistant girl's varsity and head girls J. V. tennis coach at Athens High Matthew Brown School. In 2004, the team won its league championship. SPORT CONSULTING Associated professor, researcher and management consultant with expertise in economic and social impact of sport events, sport facilities and economic return of sponsorship. His portfolio of clients includes companies and organizations like Mutua Madrid Open, Real Madrid Foundation and several sport organizations and clubs.

In 2013 he joined Universidad Europea as Director of Master’s Degree in Sports Marketing of Real Madrid Graduate School. That position helped him to maintain a straight relationship with the marketing department and executives of Real Madrid C.F. In that period, he started to investigate in qualitative aspects of marketing and sponsorship strategies implemented by Real Madrid, and other management aspects of professional football clubs.

In 2016 he was promoted to Director of Product and Business Development of the Faculty of Álvaro Fernández Sport Sciences, with responsibilities including planning and overseeing new marketing Universidad Europea de Madrid, Spain initiatives, developing of benchmarking of other companies and identifying costumers' needs. “How research can help to improve the Currently he works as assistant professor at Universidad Europea – Real Madrid Graduate quality and management of sport entities” school, and as visiting lecturer in in other Spanish and international universities. Virginia has previously worked in several agencies being responsible of sponsorship as Microsoft or Mercedes-Benz.

She has a degree in Advertising and Public Relations and is currently studying the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management.

“Women’s Football: the road to professionalization” HUMAN RESOURCES In 2002 Gerardo Bielons began his incursion in the world of sport events, by coordinating a group of volunteers in the Madrid Masters Series and Events GB was founded with the firm conviction that an adequate selection of human resources marks the difference and adds value to the quality of the events.

Thanks to his experience acquired during all these years, Events GB services were chosen for different sport events like the London Olympic Games, Davis Cup and Mutua Madrid Open.

Besides, he won the candidacy to organize different congresses, forums and conferences such as the 19th Conference of the European Association for Sport Management, The World Association for Sport Management Inaugural Conference or the Madrid 2015 AIESEP International Conference. Because of these prestigious events, the Madrid Convention Gerardo Bielons Bureau awarded Gerardo Bielons for his efforts in promoting the city of Madrid as a Events GB Director, Spain destination of large meetings and congresses.
