ETHNIC INEQUALITY BOROUGH PROFILE REPORT Brent

In 2011 Brent was ranked 4th in London (out of 32 ) for overall inequality compared to 8th in 2001. This represents an increase in relative inequality, or an increase in the relative gaps between ethnic minorities and White . The Black African, Mixed, Pakistani and White Other groups experience the largest overall inequality. Between the two censuses there was very little change in the level of inequality in all the indicators.

Between 2001 and 2011 the White British – Minority population split in Brent changed from 29%:71% to 18%:82%. This was predominantly caused by an increase in White Other, Other and Mixed populations.
