United States Department of Forest Rules Eldorado National Forest

These regulaons have been made by the Secretary of Agriculture to assure the enjoyment of recreaon in the Naonal Forests. They are common sense rules meant to control acons that cause damage to natural resources and facilies, as well as acons that cause unreasonable disturbances for Naonal Forest visitors. The Secretary of Agriculture’s regulaons (36 CFR 261) provide in part for regulang the occupancy and use of developed recreaon sites. A violaon of these regulaons is subject to a penalty of not more than $5,000.00 or six months imprisonment, or both.

The following represents a paral lisng of acts prohibited on recreaon sites on the Naonal Forests. All the regulaons are published in Title 36 of the Code of Federal Regulaons. The Code Of Federal Regulaons is available online at hp://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov.
